This quartz clock features five hand-carved maple leaves and a bird at the peak of the roof. This clock is hand-made in the Black Forest of Germany. Two decorative weights hang beneath the clock by brass chains. The blue bird above the clock dial continously moves back and forth as the brass pendulum beneath the clock swings. This clock does not have a cuckoo bird or cuckoo sound. *Great effort has been made to portray each clock as accurately as possible. As with many handmade items, the exact coloration and carving may vary slightly from clock to clock. We consider this to be a special part of their character. This clock is covered by a two year limited warranty covering workmanship and manufacturers defects.

   The description states this product is 7 inches tall. I think this may be true if you measure from the tip of the bird on tops head to the bottom of the pendulum. The actual clock is about the sie of your average hand. Receiving this item days before Christmas, there was no way I would have given this as a gift as I was asked for a Cuckoo Clock, not a miniature replica of one. The wood was very cheap looking and the price reflects that, but the size… I was just stunned. Maybe this would be a good gift for a childs dollhouse, but not much else.
